Running Instagram shoutouts can be profitable in the long run. However, you have to do it meticulously to ensure your brand or business is visible.
There are 3 types of users or accounts on Instagram:
#1: Personal Brands
It is the most trusted branded, but the priciest account to hold. Social media influencers run these types of accounts.
A perfect example could be a celebrity, who is a beautiful woman, a mother, and has a loving and loyal set of followers. It wouldn’t be wrong to call them diehard Insta followers.
One post from the celebrity influencer can drive her followers’ nuts.
If you can rope in that celebrity to sell Instagram shoutouts for your brand, it would sell like hot cakes. However, to ensure this happens, you should choose a matching account for personal branding.
Most importantly, what you want to promote should be a winning product.
#2: Theme or Niche Pages
Ranking second, theme or niche pages can also help you make a lot of money. Business owners are usually into this strategy to make some quick cash. Instagram is that business.
This also means that their standards are lower for products/services they promote than personal brands.
New dropshipping stores have better chances of being widely accepted to work with such pages, not personal brands. Remember, personal brands are, “personal” unlike niche pages. The former always require the best quality partners, the latter is not concerned.
If you are only starting your business, the choice of theme and niche pages shall be critical to sell shoutouts.
#3: Store or Brand Accounts
Here, real brands are concerned. These are some big brands that seldom do a shoutout. They have an extensive business plan to grow and they might cost a lot too.
If you are not a big store, it is better to avoid these sorts of recognized brands in the niches.
Finding Instagram Pages in the Niche
It’s quite simple. There’s no special software or tool to do this.
Just visit Instagram, and search the first three primary keywords in the niche. You would be able to find at least 5 to 10 popular pages. Once you find the best pages, go deeper.
This is something that most influencers do not do, so you should do it.
Visit each page, click on that blue arrow to find more suggested pages. Check the suggested pages carefully as you would see other better candidates that may not be visible using keywords or hashtags.
This is the best way to find new and profitable pages.
Number of Followers
When you are only getting started, concentrate on small pages. When you do so, you can test many products while burning very little cash.
Personal brands have better value, are effective, and reach farther than the niche pages. It is a no-brainer why these pages need fewer followers compared to niche pages. When you are a beginner, you need smaller pages as you are still testing products. Only if you are very sure that your product is a winner, try some of the bigger pages. If, however, you don’t, better not waste time and money testing products.
