  • Restart the Device

By restarting your device, you are breaking the present power cycle.

Hold the power button to restart your tablet, and you’ll see a slider on the screen. Slide the slider to switch off your device. Once the device is turned off, restart it by holding the power button.

  • Factory Reset

Resetting your iPad can give it a new lease on life. You can consider running a factory reset iPad if the apps misbehave or the device is frozen.

Before you run a factory reset on your device, you must create a backup of all the essential files. Once you tap on reset, all the settings and files on your tablet will be deleted permanently.

So, after you have backed up your data, you can proceed with a factory reset. Tap Settings > General > transfer or reset device > Erase all content and settings.

Network issues can be solved by resetting your device’s network settings. You can start with a simple restarting of your device.

To set your device’s network settings, navigate to Settings > tap General > tap Reset > tap Reset network settings.

Then, confirm your decision to reset the network settings.

  • Update the Operating System and Apps

Operating system and app updates come with security patches and the latest features. By updating your OS and apps, you will be ensuring the smooth functioning of your tablet. You can even boost its speed and tackle several problems you encounter.

You can update the OS from the Settings app, and for the app, go to the App Store.

  • Put your Device into Recovery Mode

If your device is not responding or you have a black screen of death on your iPad, the issue can be fixed by putting it in recovery mode. Then, you can take assistance from iTunes to restore or update your device.

Launch iTunes on your system and connect a lightning or USB cable to it. Then, long-press the home button and connect it to the system. You’ll see the Connect to iTunes symbol on your screen.
